Set of Early Victorian Dining Chairs. Six 19th century dining chairs with overstuffed seats newly upholstered in neutral linen with double piping. The wood is goncalo alves – similar to rosewood although much more rare – a South American hardwood The chairs are exceptional quality and have a good weight. The backs are nicely carved and standing on cabriole front legs and swept back legs. Dining chairs in sets of six are always sought after. There are no carver (with arms) chairs with this set but a pair could always be sourced later if extra numbers were needed.
