    19thc Flatback Staffordshire Figure. English 19th century ceramic portraying shepherd and shepherdess both carrying lambs.  There are also lambs at their feet.  This flatback is unusual in that it has not been painted making it a rather contemporary looking decoration.  It would have originally been held spills for  – used for lighting the fire.
