Antique Chest of Drawers

Excellent way to enjoy very decorative, great storage French commodes tend to often have gilt ormolu mounts, cabriole legs and sometimes serpentine fronts. English chest of drawers come in a variety of different woods. Country furniture is usually made of oak, elm or walnut. More formal fine antique chest of drawers are made of mahogany or rosewood. Often a chest of drawers will have two short over three long drawers. Handles can be wooden knobs or be a more decorative brass version coming in a variety of shapes along with brass escutcheons.
